I love Muse Movement. The environment is bright, peaceful and calming. The instructors are clear and concise with their directions. They are all very knowledgeable and teach an endlessly wide variety of movements. I've been to other pilates studios and never had the level of satisfaction I get at Muse.

I'm new to reformer Pilates and this studio was the ideal place to start. Instructors are the perfect combo of knowledgeable but still chill, so you feel comfortable making mistakes (super important!) Space is lovely - big open room with tall ceilings and lots of natural light - and the overall vibe fits the building it's in - friendly, community-minded. Regular status here I come.

My favourite Pilates studio in the city. Period. the instructors are so educated, providing great context and insights on how each movement is benefiting your body while giving needed guidance and corrections to make the movements count. They balance this with a fun, welcoming and sometimes comedic vibe. And as a cherry on top, the studio itself is stunning with a great view of downtown Toronto. Ps. If you are very lucky, a nice doggo may be the assistant teacher.

Online Pilates

Day 4 of the Muse Movement On Demand 7-day trail, and I'm HOOKED!!!!! Phenomenal variety of classes–fabulously encouraging teachers and the playlists are magic. Definitely getting the monthly on-demand membership so it can travel with me! :-)

Muse Movement is my favourite studio in Toronto. I see amazing results from their classes so when they started offering online classes I was relieved and excited. The classes are the same quality - fun and a great workout. The ability to watch the YouTube classes any time of day is really convenient to work around your schedule but I do try to hop onto the live streams when I can because I enjoy laughing along with the instructors in real time.

Teacher Training Programs

Muse is such a lovely space and team of people. I'm super happy with my experience taking both the mat and reformer teacher trainings! The faculty is incredibly knowledgeable, experienced and inclusive to all bodies. Going deeper into anatomy and movement through the trainings has really enriched my teaching and my own movement practice. I can't recommend the Muse Teacher Trainings enough!

Muse's TT is awesome! The program is really well laid out and balanced - covering all aspects of teaching movement while supporting a variety of learning styles and levels of experience. I was nervous that my chronic back pain from scoliosis & spinal fusion would get in the way, but Keri was very kind and accommodating. She approached my concerns with genuine curiosity and compassion; turning it from a limitation into a learning opportunity. All the instructors are amazing at intentionally establishing an accepting and encouraging environment. Using collaboration, curiosity and laughter, Keri is great at getting everyone to step out of their comfort zone in fun ways. Leslie’s deep knowledge and passion for anatomy are contagious. She balances thorough discussion with lighthearted learning - even throwing herself against chalkboards to help you visualize muscles in action! Talk about full bodied learning! I'm very grateful to have had the chance to learn in a movement community like Muse that helps you acknowledge and work with today's body - its ranges, its lines, its breath. If you're thinking about signing up - do it! I'm glad I did.

The Muse Movement teacher training was an experience that went above and beyond my expectations. It was so much more than simply learning about anatomy, sequencing, cueing, and language. It was about understanding the human body, from head to toe, inside and out, and using that insight to become a communicator first, and a teacher second. It was a joy to be taken under the wing of such a knowledgeable faculty, and a privilege to speak with guest lecturers who are experts in their respective fields such as pelvic health, chiropractic medicine, physiotherapy, and anti-oppression training. It sounds cliché to say, but the education and confidence I gained from this experience allowed me such freedom to be myself as an instructor. And I think that’s what is so unique about the Muse Movement Teacher Training – they aren’t interested in creating teaching clones. The teacher training at Muse Movement was a life-changing experience for me that surpassed all of my expectations. Each one of the teachers was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate; not only about pilates, but also in communicating their expertise to the students in a personalized way. At Muse Movement, the training went so far beyond learning anatomy and cuing movements. They created a supportive and encouraging environment for me to ask questions and to challenge myself to go beyond what was on the page.
